Hi, i am having some problem with Jive.

I am just not able to keep up with the speed in jive. When I dance to the music of jive, my counting becomes fast but my footwork is not able to keep up with the pace.

I am just talking about the 6 count basic step (I think it is also called as chasse and rock). When I start dancing with the fast counts (1-2-3-a-4-5-a-6), it looks as if I am jumping and running and not dancing.

The worst part is that i start panting after a small routine and it is all wrong !!!

How to I remedy this? Plz help.
